Who are we?We are a trade only lock distributor based in Ireland. We supply a variety of premium branded locks to locksmiths, safe manufacturers and O.E.M.’s primarily through our on-line ordering system locks4locksmiths.com.
Who do we supply?
We supply locksmiths, safe manufacturers and O.E.M.’s only. We do not supply the end user directly.
How do I open an account?
Click on the “sign up for a trade account” tab located on the home page in the top right hand corner and just fill out the form with all relevant details.
Our process is quick and simple:
- We will verify that you are a recognised locksmith, safe supplier, manufacturer or otherwise working in the locksmith trade. We may need to contact you to verify your identity if you’re not on our database but this is usually just a brief phone call.
- Once we have verified that you a re a legitimate member of the trade we will grant you access to our trade section which has prices on all our products and a quick click ordering system.
- If you wish to place an order we will need you to fill out a short Credit Application Form which we can send to you by fax, E-mail or post in order to open a credit account for you or you can choose to pay by Euro cheque in advance of shipment if that better suits.
We ask that you read our normal trading terms and conditions posted on the web site or ask for a copy to be sent to you if you decide to open a Credit Account after joining.
Can I place an order from overseas/outside Ireland?
Of course. Delivery charges will vary from country to country but you will be notified of delivery charges prior to order confirmation and shipping for your approval.
How do I make a purchase/order?
Just browse the trade section and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket.
- After you have finished your selection, click on “checkout“. This will bring you to your total and allow you to make any changes you wish to your order or to return to shopping.
- If you click checkout again your order will be placed. As your details were registered with us when you opened your account there is no need to input them again. We will confirm you order by e-mail and notify you of a shipping date. We will follow this with a confirmation of shipping and a tracking number, which will allow you to keep track of your shipment.
If we are temporarily out of stock of any item, we will advise you of any delays and discuss your delivery preference.
How do I know if my order has been received?
You will receive a confirmation by e-mail to the e-mail address you specified when ordering, normally this takes a few minutes. You will receive as subsequent confirmation of your order and confirmation of shipping. If you would like to double check you can give us a call on +353 1 7078255 during normal business hours or e-mail through the site.
Do I have to pay V.A.T. if I am buying from outside The Republic Of Ireland?
No, but you must be registered for V.A.T. in your country if you are within the E.U.
What are your payment terms?
Your initial purchase must be paid for in advance after which time we can operate a credit account for you. This is subject to your completion of our account application form. The account application form will be sent to you after you sign up for a trade account.

What if I experience any website problem?
You may experience problems with our site when you try to buy items. These are usually to do with how you have setup your security settings in your web browser.
If you have set your Security Settings in Internet Explorer to ‘high’ you have disabled cookies. Our site uses cookies to provide some features such as the Shopping Cart. To use the site you will need to set the security level for the Internet to Medium (under Tools/Internet Options). This is for “Safe browsing but still functional”. Alternatively you can add locks4locksmith.com to your list of trusted sites. If you have any further problem please e-mail us. We appreciate any feed back you may have.
What are your delivery times?
For an in-stock item below 5kg within Ireland and to the U.K. allow 2 business days. For out of stock items, special or large orders we will notify you within 24 hours of an estimated time of delivery. We ship all items over 5kg every Tuesday by Interlink Express and will provide you with a tracking number. Normal delivery time to the U.K. is 2 days and 1 day for Ireland.
Can I track my order/delivery on-line?
Yes. We will provide you with a tracking number and a link to the relevant web tracking system can be found in our Deliveries sectionwhen your order is shipped.
Can I have a quotation?
We can do special quotations for bulk orders but only for registered members of the site and not as an initial purchase. For a special quote simply e-mail us at info@locks4locksmiths.com or fax your request to +353 1 7078247
How can I cancel my order?
We operate a policy where the customer is given a 24 hours ‘think time’ delay before goods are processed for shipping. Should you wish to cancel your order please do so by e-mail within 24 hours of placing the order. If you paid by Credit Card you’ll be issued with a full refund.
What are your returns procedures?
No returns can be accepted for credit unless previously agreed by us and an official returns reference has been issued. A charge of 25% of invoice value or a minimum of €20.00 will be levied on Goods ‘not wanted’ or ‘incorrectly ordered’ or due to duplication resulting from a ‘confirmation’ order not being endorsed to that effect.
You must inform us within seven days from receipt of the goods for a return number to be issued under this category. You will bear all costs of returning any goods under this category. All items to be returned must be in original packaging, undamaged and not used. All items returned as faulty are liable to manufacture inspection. We cannot guarantee replacement or credit: a warranty repair may be given. No items can be returned if they have been ordered specially unless faulty.
